Biography

After 3 1/2 years of premed education I entered New York Chiropractic College. In 1991 I graduated from Chiropractic School and received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree to go along with my BS in Biology. I totaled 7 1/2 years of education. Upon graduating New York Chiropractic College I immediately started an associateship in Staten Island, NY under the direction of Dr. Ross Kuflik DC. In February of 1992 I opened my first private practice in Englewood, NJ.

My first office was a small office that I shared with Dr. Joseph DeFazio, DC. By the winter of 1994 we had out grown that office and moved to a new location that was more than double the size. This office was my first brand new "proud to be here" space. Over then next 4 years I treated the nice people of Englewood and the neighboring towns. I had patients from all walks of life; musicians, athletes, actors, homemakers, students etc. During my time in that private Englewood practice I really did my best to make a difference for my patients.

As my practice grew it was obvious I needed more space again and wanted to expand my scope to helping people in many different ways. In the summer of 1998 I merged my practice with an Englewood Cliffs Neurologist and we formed a multi-disciplinary medical practice. We had not only chiropractic and medical neurology, but we employed an acupuncturist, physical therapist and massage therapist.

After the events of 9/11 I took a hard look at what I was doing. My wife and I had 2 very young children and my office was a bit of a distance from my home. I was working 6 days a week and running into A LOT of traffic trying to get home every night. In the spring on 2002 my oldest child was in a kindergarten play and because of my distance to his school I arrived at his play late. In fact I missed it all together. It was at that moment I decided to make some major changes.

In the fall of 2002 I left my practice of 10 years and started a new practice in Ramsey, NJ. My new practice was only 12 minutes door to door to from my home which (just a couple towns over). It was 1992 all over again for me. I needed to start a new practice all over again. The big difference was that I had 11 years of experience under my belt and a reputation to go with it.

It wasn't even a slow start, within 6 weeks the practice was moving and shaking, helping new generation of patients. After 4 months I needed more space and doubled my office size. Upon completing my 1st year I expanded again.

After 2 years I invested in a cold laser therapy unit, to expand and broaden my help for patients. I was now helping unconventional patients, those that suffered with carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia and other pinch nerve conditions. These patients are the ones told "you have to live with it", well I wouldn't stand for that and began to get great results for them.

With all the expansion and help for my patients there was still one brand of patient that was very difficult to treat and very frustrating to offer help to. This was the patient with the slipped disc, herniated disc, bulging disc and stenosis. At that time I began to look into all the non-surgical high tech options available. At that time I focused in on one highly technical type of equipment which was run by a 3 computer system. I then made an effort to visit their factory. Upon that visit, I knew this would be the option to once and for all help the patient suffering with these conditions. I made the investment in the DRX9000.

Since that time I have been helping people that were told their only option was surgery, or that they had to live with it. I began to witness people hobbling in my office, people being helped into my office and people with tales of such pain and woe, actually get better.

Today I have a 5 treatment room practice, the DRX9000, cold laser therapy and an incredible associate doctor. We see patients 5 days a week. My office is located in beautiful western Bergen County at 161 N. Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey. It's been a long adventurous road, but one that continues to help me do what I love best - helping people!
